Day 146- Zoo

Zoo! We took Caleb to the zoo on Thursday! It was great fun. He was so interested in every animal. We ended up getting a season pass, so we can go back whenever we want! Hooray!

We continue to be busy with work, school, and unpacking. It seems that our pace is rather fast these days. However, God is giving me a sense of peace and patience. I've been able to dwell more on him and his word and I think the Holy Spirit is working in my heart!

Day 142- Monday Meditation

More later on the big move this weekend. Until then...

Day 124- Hello Mornings

So, on a whim I decided to join a challenge on the Inspired to Action website (see resource blogs on the right hand side of my blog). It's called Hello Mornings, and it's designed to help keep you accountable to get up early, spend time with God, exercise, and spend a moment of intentional planning before you start the day. So, I'm in a Facebook group and I'm supposed to log in and comment in the mornings. I think the jist is that we will share what we are learning and our struggles. It must be a big struggle for others too (thank goodness I'm not the only one) because over 400 women are already signed up. If any of my mommy blog friends want to do this too, I think it would be more meaningful to be accountable to people I know!

Day 123- a few pics + 19 months

Dear Caleb,
You are now 19 months and so full of life. You're favorite things are airplanes, the moon, "peekaboo" on mom's iPad, your buddy, and yelling animal noises as loud as possible. You are still a cuddly guy, which both mommy and daddy love. You are easy going, but are still learning what it means to obey. You often correct yourself, but continue doing the activity ( ie scream really loud, then tell yourself shhhh then scream really loud again.). It's actually kind of cute. Although it does kind of remind me of the little brother on Malcolm in the Middle.

You wear size 4 diapers, size 18 month pants and 18-24 month shirts. You know about 60 words and use about 50 consistently. You can almost jump and you are mastering the art of running fast. You love anything outdoors, well, you're actually pretty easy to please.

I love you so much, Caleb. I love it when you call me "mama", when you pull my head down to yours for a face to face cuddle, when you squeal with delight at a game of chase, and when you look up to me to see if I'm watching you. I also love you when you disobey, make poor choices, have meltdowns, wake up in the middle of the night, or have a needy day.

You are my son and you are dearly loved!

Day 122- iPhone

Yes, my dear husband finally convinced me to fully step over into the world of fancy phones. I must say... This IS fun. Stand by for more frequent photo posts and quips posted from my phone on the go! Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately... We've been a little busy with life, work, and packing up to move to a new rental.

Love,
Susan
