Ahhh, our last morning at the beach. We packed up all of our stuff, then went for a quick walk on the beach (while the boys packed the van). Then we headed over to Alvin's Island (can't make a trip to Destin without stopping at Alvin's Island). I bought a large sand dollar and sea star for our bathroom. Then we headed to Pensacola so the fam could drop Alan and I off at the airport. We stopped by Moe's for lunch (similar to Chipotle or Qudoba). It was super yummy! Then we said goodbye. It was such a wonderful time with family. I have been so blessed to get to see then often in the past few months.
Alan and I got to the airport and waited for our flight. Around the time we were suppose to board, the pilot announces that there is weather in Atlanta and that we can't leave. So... 2 hours later, we are finally cleared to get on the plane and head to Atlanta. We were sure we probably missed our flight to Denver, but it turns out that all the flights were so backed up in Atlanta, we had time to eat dinner and then have a little wait before boarding for Denver. We watched He's Just Not that Into Me on the plane (we had already seen it- not hugely recommended by me- too much drama and bad morals). It does have some cute parts though. Anyways, we finally landed in Denver, 2 hours late, but amazing Becca picked us up and brought us home. This pic shows our exhaustion after traveling all day. It was a wonderful vacation- now can I get back into the real world?
